The Family of Saint Anthony would like to announce its 1st annual Feast Day Celebration of St. Anthony (the Abbot) on January 17th. There will be a mass at 5:30pm at St. James Church on 605 Church St. to honor the living and dead ceraioli of St. Anthony, followed by a reception in the downstairs hall of St. Mary's Church on 516 3rd Ave until 8PM. Specialty coffees, authentic Gubbio dolce (sweets), and a special presentation by the Gail Ercoli Dancers and a themed door prize are all available. Tickets are $10 and children under 13 are free.

Tickets will also be available at the door, but we are trying to get an estimated head count, so please purchase your tickets asap. The Family of Saint Anthony has recently incorporated as a non-profit organization and is now accepting member applications. Our Constitution/Bylaws were ratified and approved by the St. Ubaldo Society. Election of Board members is slated for September 30, 2008. All paid members may vote and full members can be considered for the Honorary Captain position of "Capodieci" for 2009. St. Ubaldo Society Cultural Center Pig Roast
The St. Ubaldo Society Cultural Center Foundation Committee is holding their annual Pig Roast from 5pm to 8pm on the grounds of the Jessup VFW, 2nd Ave and Dolph St. in Jessup. The dinner is sit down or take out and features roast pork seasoned "porketta" style, and "erba'nera" (italian style savoy cabbage and potatoes). There will also be live entertainment by Gabrielle Gnudi and a cash bar available. The regular July meeting of the Saint Ubaldo Society will be held on Thursday, July 10 at the Jessup American Legion. The meeting will start at 9 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict.

Saint Ubaldo Society
The St. Ubaldo Society is hosting the food stand at the annual Jessup 5th of July Celebration, which is presented by the Borough of Jessup and the Jessup 21st Century Association. The stand opens at 6pm and the menu will include: Hotdogs, Wimpies, Pizza, and Soda/water. Fireworks will begin at 9:30pm. A meeting will be held on Wednesdsay July 2, at 7pm at St. George's Restaurant in Jessup to discuss plans for the event. Have a great 4th of July!!

Saluti a tutti, noi ha completato il corso de ceri di Jessup, PA per effettuare la vostra tradizione gloriosa della mia famiglia e degli amici di Gubbio. Sono felice di annunciare che nessuna ceri è caduto e nessuno era seriamente ferito. Stiamo sperando di vedere molto Eugubini per unirli l'anno prossimo per il nostro 100th anniversario della celebrazione di Sant' Ubaldo in Jessup. My Umbria - Umbrian gifts, pottery, chocolate, etc.
