The Saint Ubaldo Society is a Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation organized under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue code. Contributions to the Society are fully deductible.
The Society shall exist, in part, to perpetuate and promote the very old traditions surrounding Saint Ubaldo of Gubbio, Italy and “La Festa dei Ceri”, which were brought to Jessup by Italian immigrants around the turn of the 20th century, and in doing so, the cultural aspect of these traditions will be preserved based on accurate and proper historical context. The Society shall seek to promote and defend these traditions as its main priority, and further, the Society shall work to safeguard its possessions by guarding, handling, and displaying these objects with great respect and care.
